A repetitive stress injury is an injury to your joints, muscles, or tendons that happens slowly over time from overusing or putting too much strain on certain parts of your body. Repetitive stress injuries can occur in all kinds of jobs. These injuries can happen on the stockroom floor or a machining factory, or even just sitting at a desk typing. However, repetitive stress injuries all have one thing in common: they generally happen when a worker has to do the same motions again and again. You may have a repetitive stress injury if you have an inflamed tendon. Example of repetitive stress injuries include Carpal Tunnel caused by typing, and Tennis elbow caused by lifting or repetitive arm motions.
